VIRTUAL EVENT OVERVIEW
In light of the ever-changing circumstances we've faced, this year's Wild Game Dinner will be virtual for the first time ever! The change in format, however, has not changed the purpose of our event. Wild Game Dinner is the largest yearly fundraiser for the student ministries of Catawba Valley Baptist Church, and all proceeds directly support the ministry costs for the coming year, and years beyond. When you buy tickets, participate in the auction, and make donations, you are actively making a difference in a child's life!
The change in format has also not dampened the experience of Wild Game Dinner. Our virtual event will still feature great food, amazing giveaways, exciting raffles, an exclusive auction, and more. The virtual Wild Game Dinner will culminate on the night of February 26, 2021, when you’ll be able to pick up your meal and any auction items or raffle prizes you’ve won in the weeks leading up to the dinner. Meal and item pickup will be drive-thru style in order to keep your health and safety as our number one priority. It's going to be yet another wonderful year of Wild Game Dinner in 2021.

YOUR INVESTMENT CHANGES LIVES
We want to offer our sincerest thanks to the people who have participated in Wild Game Dinner over the years. Because of your gifts, we have been empowered to sponsor so many camp scholarships, fund retreats, sponsor VBS, purchase necessary discipleship resources and study materials to help our students grow in their walk with the Lord, and make possible so many activities and times of spiritual renewal. Without your gifts these things would not have been possible!
But beyond the material blessings, your generosity and investment in this event is an investment in changing lives of the students who are touched by the Student Ministries of Catawba Valley Baptist Church. Students have met Jesus for the first time, overcome addictions, and experienced victory over many struggles in their lives. For this, we can never thank you enough! Student's lives are different because of how the Lord has used your generosity.

WHY WE DO WILD GAME DINNER
100% of the money that comes from this event goes directly to support the Student Ministries of Catawba Valley Baptist Church. Wild Game Dinner is by far our largest annual fundraiser, and the main source of financial support for the yearly Student Ministries budget. Take a glance below to see how your donations make an impact in the lives of our students!
Resources & MaterialsAccess to God’s Word, study materials, and personal devotional books is crucial to the spiritual growth and development of our students. Our Student Ministry funds are used to purchase these resources for our students throughout the year. RetreatsEach year, we take a group of students on a Winter Retreat to spend time growing closer to the Lord and to one another. For many of our students, Winter Retreat has been the starting point of deep, meaningful relationships with other students and with leaders that will last for years to come. We also take various other retreats, such as our upper-classmen retreat for 10th-12th grade. |
ActivitiesWe use fun activities throughout the year to build a community of fellowship, leadership, and friendship among our students. Activities also serve as opportunities for our students to engage and reach out to the greater community. Camp ScholarshipsSummer camp is a life changing experience for our students, and we believe that finances should never be an obstacle that prevents them from attending camp. That is why we provide camp scholarships every year to eligible students who genuinely desire to go to camp and who have completed a series of prerequisite tasks. |
