Reflect
In His divine foreknowledge, Jesus knew all of the events and things He would suffer beginning the night of Maundy Thursday. The betrayal, the beatings, the shame, the rejection, and ultimately His death. In Gethsemane, Jesus prayed that God the Father would let "this cup" of suffering pass from Him. And yet, He marvelously submitted to the Father's plan to redeem us, knowing that salvation and victory were coming.
