What Unites Us Together?
Our Strategy is Simple
To create a place of belonging that intentionally builds relationships and fosters spiritual growth by glorifying God, edifying one another, and multiplying disciples.
While each person comes to faith in Christ individually, God has designed the body of Christ in such a way, that we grow in faith together. We all have a desire to belong and be known by others because God created us for community. In the New Testament, there are 59 "one another" commands, which portray how we are to live together in unity. Life Groups provide an opportunity to get to know others in the body of Christ who will walk alongside you as well as encourage and challenge you spiritually.
In our mission to reach people for Christ, we are seeking to establish Life Groups in strategic locations where our church family resides.
What is a Life Group?
Life Groups are made up of intergenerational gatherings of men and women from all walks of life. Our groups are scattered through the area around Catawba Valley and meet twice a month (generally) in homes. Each group is led by a an approved Life Group Leader and they are typically composed of 10-20 people. These groups meet together for fellowship, care, accountability, and building up one another in love by implementing the core values of CVBC Life Groups.
Why Life Groups?
"But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love."
We would love to answer any questions you may have about Life Groups or how to get involved. Please contact our Life Group Coordinator, Emily Vaughan.
