Jake Barnett | Associate Pastor of Students & Mobilization
Jake and his wife Cayla came to Catawba Valley in April of 2024. Jake and Cayla met toward the end of 2020 and were married in September of 2022. Their son, Bryson, was born in July 2023. Jake had served in vocational ministry as a children’s pastor for five years in his hometown of Yorktown, VA, prior to joining the pastoral team at Catawba Valley Baptist Church.
Jake graduated from the College at Southeastern in 2018 and is currently working on his M.A. at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Cayla graduated from Liberty University in 2020. Together, they enjoy visiting historical places such as the Battlefields of Yorktown and Colonial Williamsburg. Jake and Cayla love playing board games, card games, and spending time with family.
Jake felt the call to ministry when he was in middle school. He has volunteered in children's and youth ministry at each church he has attended. Jake loves teaching the next generation about the truths of the Bible and serving God's people.

Dylan Scaglione | Custodian

Dylan Scaglione grew up in Tampa, Florida and attended Word of Life Bible Institute after high school. He then studied at Liberty University, where he met his wife, Erica. Dylan and Erica have two sons, Jett and Clay.
After completing his Masters in Pastoral Counseling, Dylan served in chaplain ministry. Dylan and his family joined Catawba Valley Baptist Church in 2020, and he was ordained into the gospel ministry in 2021. During his free time, Dylan enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, and sports. He has a passion for serving in ministry and sharing the love of Christ! |
