Begin the Journey!
We are so glad that you have joined us on the journey of the Road to Redemption. We are hopeful that throughout the next twelve days, you will follow Jesus' path to the empty tomb through the devotionals drawn from of the Passion Week scriptures. The last seven days are referred to as Holy Week because without the crucifixion, there would have been no Resurrection Sunday. Jesus died on the cross in our place, the innocent for the guilty. He defeated the power of sin and death, by rising again from the grave! The resurrection of Christ from the grave secures our victory of eternal life.
Through the Road to Redemption, you can “walk in His shoes.” We know how the story ends, but try not to jump ahead in your mind and heart. Put yourself in the moment each day, and take the place of the disciples, of Jesus, of the Roman soldiers, and if you dare, of Judas. Journey through the pages of Scripture as the story unfolds. Each day will be provided with an overview video, daily Scripture readings, a reflective question, and a song to meditate on. We are using primarily the Gospel of Mark, but you can also find theses events paralleled in the other Gospel accounts.
